Imported from ancient Greece, the Greco Bianco (white Greek), gives an amber light grape with green reflections and prefers dry sunny hills. The Ciro Bianco is produced from this grape species. The Gaglioppo, another vine species typical of Ciro, is the dominant vine, because these thousands of years in the field of Ciro are grown because of its adaptability to drought and disease.
The scents of the fruit and the presence of anti-oxidant substances Gaglioppo make the nectar of the gods. This Grape Ciro Rosso are, Rosato and Riserva obtained. The Magliocco, another old Calabrian variety that was widespread in the past and is now almost completely disappeared, giving a compact grape with a thick skin, equipped with an intense color. From this vine is the "Paternum" wine produced.
