The chili paste harissa is made from red chilli, garlic and cumin and, often, tomatoes and spices such as caraway, coriander and roasted peppers.
Rose harissa has the same basis, but rose petals are added to this, making rose harissa tastier and less spicy and again very different from rose water, an infusion of rose petals.
The Amsterdam THULL'S pickles & Fermentation , just like the British Belazu, also gives it its own twist on this seasoning. This harissa contains dried chilli, paprika, garlic, caraway, coriander, cinnamon, rose water and cider vinegar.
By the way, this rose harissa is simply called harissa at Thull's because at Thull's they want to prevent the customer from expecting a predominantly sweet, floral taste.
